Opening of the Styrian Women’s Academy 2026
Launch in Graz
From 6 to 7 March 2026, the first module of the Styrian Women’s Academy took place in Graz. A special highlight for the participants right at the beginning was a personal meeting with Governor Mario Kunasek, who received the group exclusively in his offices.
Afterwards, Provincial Councillor Mag. Dr. Claudia Holzer invited the participants to the meeting room of the Freedom Party parliamentary group in the Styrian state parliament, where an exchange took place on political responsibilities and activities. The program also included a guided tour of the historic Graz Landhaus and a discussion with MP Andrea Michaela Schartel and State Parliament Member Kerstin Zambo, who presented, among other things, the Initiative of Freedom Party Women and spoke with the participants about current priorities in women’s policy.
The following day focused on practical political work. Deputy Parliamentary Group Director Raphael Pensl presented the FPÖ party program not only in theory but also through interactive discussions and practical examples, making it tangible and engaging. Johannes Krenn then provided insights into the world of social media. Through a theoretical session and a workshop, participants learned about creating creative posts, producing viral short videos, and other tools relevant for local politics, along with a brief outlook on the topic of artificial intelligence.
